Laparoscopy as a Gynecological Surgery
Laparoscopy is a microscopic gynecological surgery used to examine the female reproductive organs. The procedure is usually done in a hospital while the patient is under general anesthesia. The device is typically inserted just above or below the belly button area so that organs and the reproductive system can be examined. This procedure is commonly performed to harvest eggs for Invitro Fertilization, to remove a tubal pregnancy or to perform a hysterectomy. Many women may find that they are sore for a few days following the procedure but are able to perform their normal routines shortly after.
