Medical Center Plano
The physicians at Women’s Specialists of Plano are affiliated with Medical Center of Plano. It is a world-class medical facility offering the latest technologies, has been serving Plano and Collin County since 1975. It is a full-service, 427-bed acute-care facility with more than 1,300 employees and over 900 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and subspecialties.
The main campus in central Plano includes the main hospital and medical offices, an outpatient surgery center, a comprehensive cancer-treatment center, an emergency trauma center, a radiology/imaging center, a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the Center for Lifestyle Enhancement, and complete women’s and children’s services including a high-risk antepartum unit and a neonatal intensive-care unit.
Their 23 private, family-centered labor and delivery suites feature the same level of comfort as well. But tucked inside a hardwood cabinet is advanced obstetric equipment, and just outside the door is a highly trained team of physicians and nurses. Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Medical Center of Plano became legacy the first hospital in Collin County to achieve elite Magnet recognition from the American Nurse’s Association in 2007.
