Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) Overview

Any woman who has a menstrual cycle will most likely experience PMS symptoms at some point in her reproductive life. Premenstrual syndrome is a group of emotional and physical symptoms including headaches, bloating, cramping and a bout of the “blues” that occur before a woman’s menstrual cycle begins.  PMS is a common occurrence and can be controlled with medication such as ibuprofen, heating pads, regular exercise and good nutrition.
