NovaSure® Overview
Mennorhagia is the term used to describe irregular or very heavy menstrual bleeding. This condition causes disrupt and anxiety in more than 20% of women. NovaSure® is one treatment option available today. This form of endometrial ablation is an FDA-approved procedure where a doctor inserts a slender surgical device through the cervix into the uterus to release electrical energy to permanently remove the endometrial lining in order to reduce or eliminate bleeding. Many women are choosing this procedure as an option because it does not use hormones, requires no incisions and can be performed generally in less than five minutes under local anesthesia.
